At Carlton Wood Mill we have premium firewood kiln dried or green logs for sale. We kiln dry logs with just a 15% moisture content. This provides you with superior quality firewood for your wood stove. The majority of issues encountered when running a stove at home are down to poor quality fuel with a high moisture content. You only get out what you put in, thus the calorific content (how much energy is produced) is up to 40 % less when burning wet, unseasoned wood, compared with Carlton Wood Mill’s premium kiln dried wood at 15% moisture content.
